This is a U.S. Navy N-1 deck jacket, a genuine item from the early 1940s. Furthermore, this is a rare early model. It's an early model from right after the change from navy to khaki in 1944. Contract NXss 22371 Features include: the early model's long-pile alpaca lining, alpaca lining extending to the sleeve cuffs (image 4), stitching at the sleeve ends (image 8), side loops (images 11 & 12), waist loops (images 13 & 14), hidden ribbing, the still-vibrant narrow-font U.S.N. on the chest, a Conmar zipper, and "コの字止め" (koji-dome) zipper stops, all packed with early details! Rare size 44. There are scuffs, stains, and holes, but no major damage. Drawcords are undamaged. Stencil lettering is present on the lower back.
