When taking photos, I carried it in a camera bag. Also, when not taking photos, I stored it in a bag in a dark place. When taking photos and during normal storage, I always had the filter shown in the lower left of the first image attached. * I will also give away the filter along with the lens. There are some minor scratches on the outside of the lens, but the lens itself is in a clean condition without any scratches. * Please refrain from purchasing if you are concerned, as you may feel that it has been used.
