These are punch cap toe boots, custom-made (MTO) directly by Dean Girling himself in 2009, when the company was founded. They are based on the design from Gaziano & Girling's first collection, with the GG06 last. While the ready-made version is a 7-eyelet lace-up boot, I requested Mr. Dean to replace the top four eyelets with hooks, as it's more convenient for taking on and off in Japan. I also had the sole changed to a spade sole, which offers better flexibility than a double sole. The size is 9 1/2E in UK sizing, but compared to typical British shoes, Gaziano & Girling has a slimmer last, so the width feels closer to a D. Please consider this if you are concerned about the fit. I usually wear 9.5E in ready-made British shoes and 10D in American shoes. The material is calfskin, and the color is dark brown. I used to wear them once or twice a year, but they've been stored in the shoe box for the past few years, and I haven't had a chance to wear them, so I'm selling them to declutter. Please note the following before bidding: The toe area has some black rubber residue from "Shoe Goo" used during the break-in period. There is no repair history on the heels. The shoelaces are the original ones. Accessories include the original shoe bags and shoe trees. The box has been repaired in some areas. There is also the polish from that time, but it has hardened due to aging, so please consider it as a bonus. I remember the purchase price at the time was around 180,000 yen, based on the exchange rate.
