It's now at a good point where the stiffness has softened and it's become moderately supple. It's originally a heavily textured piece. The zipper end doesn't fully close in one part. This is a characteristic of the item since purchase, but there are no particular issues with use; I've even seen Judy wallets without the zipper end at all.
