The National Treasure "Choju-jinbutsu-giga" (Scrolls of Frolicking Animals and Humans) held at Kozan-ji Temple in Kyoto is a set of four picture scrolls: Ko, Otsu, Hei, and Tei. They were drawn from the end of the Heian period to the Kamakura period, and the artist is unknown, with the assumption that there were multiple artists. The most famous of these is the Ko scroll, which depicts personified animals (rabbits, frogs, monkeys, etc.) moving dynamically, and is said to be the oldest manga in Japan. The "Choju-giga Vest" uses Japanese-style fabric with the Choju-giga printed on the front. The back is made of simple brown fabric. The front is longer, with a dropped front design. The back and front are connected with wooden buttons. The color scheme is easy to match with various clothes. I bought it about 20 years ago at a Japanese miscellaneous goods event in a department store. At that time, Choju-giga fabric was rare, and it was a bit expensive, but I decided to buy it. However... when I got home and tried it on, the silhouette was completely different from the image I had, perhaps because I am small, so I tried changing the position of the buttons, but it still didn't suit me, and I only wore it about twice.
