【Tea Ceremony Utensils】This is a matcha tea bowl. Comes with a matching box. There appears to be a signature and red seal resembling "Moemon" on the underside of the lid, and a pottery mark on the bottom of the tea bowl, so it is probably made by Shigeemon Nakazato. Also, the yellow cloth that came with it was printed with "Pottery Moemon Kiln." This item is from around 2003 when my mother was learning the tea ceremony (Urasenke). The tea bowl is very clean and seems to have been hardly used. I do not practice the tea ceremony, so I do not know the details. It was carefully stored at my parents' house, but I am selling it to declutter. In my amateur opinion, there are no particularly noticeable flaws, and I think there are no problems with use. It is a beautiful item, but it is a used item from a private individual, so the matching box has natural age-related deterioration such as minor scratches and discoloration. The defects are that a part of the matching box is slightly detached and the lid has warped, creating a small gap [Image 17].
