This is a bolt of fabric from a haori (Japanese coat) that has been unpicked. It was used for the back lining, etc., and features a pale pink color with a pattern of grass. It has been sent out for washing and is now refreshed. The edges are sewn, and several pieces are connected in the form of a bolt of fabric. There are cuts in places for tailoring. There are some thread snags and small stains. See photos 4 and 5. Maximum fabric width = approx. 37cm (from selvedge to selvedge) Length = approximately 4m, but slightly less; the longest single piece is about 90cm. I think it can be used for making han-eri (collars) and obi-age (sash scarves), or as lining for small items. It will be folded compactly and shipped.
