Jingdezhen Hotaru-yaki Tea Set, 5 Cups Celadon Porcelain, Antique, Used A tea set made in Jingdezhen, the pinnacle of Chinese porcelain. This is a unique set featuring the hotaru-yaki (hotaru-de) technique, where the vessels have a pierced design. When held up to the light, you can see small, delicate pierced patterns (hotaru patterns). One piece has a slightly blurred pattern (see image 3).
