It has been motorized using Bandai running parts (wheels and power unit). I have confirmed that the motor runs using a 9-volt battery. The pantograph was originally non-movable and there were no replacement parts available, but I have made it movable using a KATO Shinkansen pantograph. The coupler on the front of the train is a KATO Coupler N. The body seems loose, and the chassis tends to come off easily. Since it has been some years since I purchased it, there may be small scratches.
