I purchased this about 10 years ago from a shop that carries works by individual artists. I was drawn to the glossy bottom, the rounded silhouette, and the small size. I've forgotten the artist's name, but I remember it was sold as a chopstick rest. I didn't use it as a chopstick rest, but instead displayed it on a shelf in my entryway for a while. I don't see any noticeable flaws, but as it is a handmade item, there may be air bubbles, distortions, and individual differences. Please be aware of this before purchasing.
