Thank you for viewing. This item is estimated to be pottery from the late Edo period, influenced by old Seto and Seto-kuro styles. The rim has a dark black glaze, and the center features a simple clay body with depictions of flowers and plants, possibly orchids or bamboo grass. The stamped floral patterns (molding) on the rim give a sense of history as an old ceramic. The powerful painting and the refined glaze are the appealing features of this work. Size: Medium plate (diameter approx. 20cm / height approx. 2cm) This item has been carefully preserved for display. There are no noticeable scratches or stains, and it is in very beautiful condition. To prevent scratching the surface it is placed on, a felt protective material has been attached to the foot ring on the back. Due to the nature of the product, returns are not accepted.
