This is a wooden, lacquered, dark red (tame-nuri) Mizusashi shelf in the Shogou style, made by Hyokan Kawase, a lacquer artist specializing in tea ceremony utensils. I believe it is unused, but due to long-term storage, I am listing it as "near mint." There are no noticeable scratches or stains. The item is in very beautiful condition overall. There are minor stains on the back of the original box due to aging.
