・Obiage is a cloth that decorates the upper edge of the obi (sash), and it wraps the obimakura (sash pillow). The role of the obiage is to hide the obimakura and shape the obi tie. Because the obiage peeks out and gives a華やか (flashy/gorgeous) and sharp impression, it is often incorporated as a fashion point even when dressing without an obimakura.
・There are fold creases, but there doesn't seem to be any particular stains. I think it's a beautiful item. It has a luster and is suitable as an accent color for plain obis and kimonos. Also, matching the color of the antique hakama (underskirt), if you get tired of obiage that are only pale colors, wouldn't a color this bold be perfect for the autumn foliage season?
