Currently decluttering. This is a small, old Seto jar, fired during the Kamakura period. Although described as a small jar, it is, to be precise, a "funekotsu-tsubo" (cremation urn). Regarding this item, those familiar with old Seto ware will know that it is a very valuable piece. The number of extant pieces is truly small. Therefore, on a certain famous auction site, when an old Seto funekotsu-tsubo is listed, it is always popular, with winning bids exceeding 40,000 yen. Furthermore, this funekotsu-tsubo is, fortunately, in almost perfect condition, with no major damage or repairs. This is a truly wonderful funekotsu-tsubo, appreciated by those in the know.
