This is a very beautiful item with both華やかさ (glamour/splendor) and elegance, and the design gives it a formal feel suitable for celebratory occasions and ceremonies. The overall color and impression of the obi are slightly different from the dazzling and luxurious presence of gold-colored obis worn for formal occasions. It has a dignified, understated impression. Also, compared to the heavy feel of existing formal fukuro obis, the refined colors and patterns (the lining is charcoal gray) make it suitable for various occasions, from tomesode (formal black kimono) to homongi (visiting kimono) and tsukesage (semi-formal kimono) (this is just my personal opinion). The fabric doesn't have the sheen and luster of hikihaku (foil-decorated fabric), nor is it particularly supple. It is a good quality pure silk fabric with a tight weave and sufficient thickness. It has a moderate stiffness that makes it easy to arrange the kimono. The condition is a beautiful item, only lightly tried on. However, due to long-term storage, there are some fold marks and minor wrinkles from being tried on. There may also be other minor imperfections that have been overlooked. Please understand this.
