May Dolls Armor and Helmet Boys' Day, Children's Day These are May Dolls modeled after traditional samurai armor and helmets. Showa retro, old items. These May Dolls were purchased about 70 years ago to celebrate my grandfather's first Boys' Festival. They were displayed for the festival for three generations: father, son, and grandson. Doll height: Approximately 75cm (up to the tip of the helmet decoration) Wooden base box: Width 38.5 x Depth 27 x Height 27 cm Folding screen height: Approximately 61 cm Displayed about 20 times. Everyone grew up healthy, so they have been stored in their dedicated wooden box for the past 10 years without being displayed. I displayed them to check before listing. Please forgive me if the display method is incorrect. I think they are clean overall, with no noticeable scratches, stains, or odors. The gold decorations are also clean and shining without any dullness. The gold folding screen is also clean with no noticeable scratches, stains, or warping. One of the decorations on the wooden base box has come off (see photo 16). Since I no longer have a use for them, I will pass them on to someone who will display them.
