This is a traditional Japanese washi paper doll, featuring an attractive kimono and haori. I purchased it at an antique market about 40 years ago. The name "Aoi no Ue" was written on the back of the base, but I didn't understand its meaning. There is peeling on the lower parts of both sleeves due to aging. There is also some fading. Please refrain from ordering if you are sensitive to these issues or are looking for a perfect item.
