The top is made of wild cherry with a beautiful wood grain pattern, as are the sides and back. The neck is sturdy silver maple, and the fingerboard and bridge appear to be made of dense, hard walnut. The unique acoustic properties of wild cherry produce a clear, resonant, and rich acoustic sound with good projection. It seems to be an older guitar, made around 1990, and has been well-played. The bridge was slightly lifting, so it has been secured with bolts and nuts. Also, there are some scratches on the top, which the previous owner has repainted.
