Thank you for viewing. This is a Fender American Vintage '52 Telecaster in natural finish. It has been used extensively in live performances and recordings, so as you can see in the photos, there are many dings and cracks, and it shows significant signs of use. Conversely, it has a vintage-like appearance. It has also been modified, with the capacitor of the front pickup either removed or replaced. Therefore, instead of the muffled, "woman tone" typical of a '52 Telecaster, the front pickup now produces a somewhat "janky" sound. In a negative sense, it doesn't sound vintage-like; in a positive sense, it sounds modern? (I recently played a Van Zandt Telecaster, and its output was stronger and had a more modern sound. This guitar produces a vintage-like, "janky" sound.) The removed capacitor is included. Attaching it should restore the original sound. Also, in the center position, the wiring is series instead of parallel for the front and rear pickups, resulting in a thick, humbucker-like sound. If you would like to have all the modifications reverted to the original specifications, I am willing to sell it with the additional costs incurred. The fret life remaining varies depending on the location, but more than 70% remains. Please check the photos. The neck condition is shown in the photos. It has been adjusted to be almost straight. The truss rod has room to spare in both directions. The manufacturing year is unknown, but it is printed on the neck pocket. Thank you for viewing.
