It was made as a wine vessel in the early Western Zhou Dynasty (circa 1000 BC). This item is a replica produced by request from Mr. Isao Okado (Nitten Councilor) and Shokosha. "Hou" is a type of wine vessel where the width is greater than the height. This bronze ware is characterized by bird-shaped decorations and a bud-shaped knob with a long stem in the center of the lid. This is a commemorative item, but I am selling it because I have not used it after storing it for many years. There is an inscription of Sumitomo Bank and Heisei 7 (1995) on the bottom.
