Thank you for viewing! This is a protective cover to be used on the chin rest of a violin or viola. It protects your precious instrument from dirt and sweat, and is made at the request of those with allergies to metal or varnish, or those with sensitive skin. This is specifically designed for the Guarneri-type chin rest. It can be used on both 4/4 violins and violas. It's difficult to give exact overall dimensions, but the outer dimensions are approximately 18cm x 13cm. The pocket opening is about 10.5cm and the depth is about 6cm. Made with two layers of fluffy double gauze. No batting. The pocket is made of high-quality, domestically produced black plain broadcloth (100% cotton). Please hand wash gently when dirty. Ironing is possible except for the rubber parts. Images 6 and 7 are the instruction manual (a sample was used for the photos). The instruction manual will be included.
