There was a tear in the instruction manual and glitter-like stains on the AC adapter from the time of purchase. (Please see photos 12 and 13) My home has a TV and router that are far apart, making a wired connection impossible, so I purchased a wireless LAN adapter separately and used it with a wireless connection. (I purchased this new on Amazon) This is a set with BUFFALO WI-UG-AC866/N. I was using it comfortably without any particular problems. For those in the same environment, please consider it.
