This is an old Wajima-nuri lacquerware bowl. It features a charming design with a vermilion rim and a black, gold-inlaid (chinkin) design. The bowl has a beveled edge with a painted division, and the chinkin work depicts a shepherd's purse (nazuna) pattern in black and a dragon (ryu) pattern in gold. The design is quite elaborate. There are some minor scratches and a hairline crack as shown in image 9. The size is 13.5 cm in diameter and 9 cm in height. There is one item in stock. Please understand that this is an antique item.
