Sharpening them on the spot is a waste of time. Especially when fishing for red sea bream, which have hard mouths, the hook point can dull after catching one fish, leading to poor hooksets and lost fish. I replace them frequently and focus on maintaining the hook point, and I have definitely seen an increase in my catch. The leader length is also made long, making it easier to attach shrimp. Sea Hunter - Size 10 specification Depending on your tackle, but if your drag is set to around 1kg, you can land even large red sea bream during the spawning season, based on my experience. As a bonus, I'm including 2 homemade shrimp fixing pins (see image 3). Attach them by crimping them with pliers, etc., to the location where the replacement hook is attached (see image 4).
