This is an ornament from the house of an old man famous for Shigaraki ware. I don't know when or where it was purchased, but it's apparently not Shigaraki ware. It's a black and gold two-tone lacquer-style decoration with detailed carvings, likely depicting Ebisu holding a sea bream and Daikokuten pulling a cart with a mallet and gold coins. As you can see in the 7th image, there are signs of repair, and there's also a crack-like mark on the bottom of the back, as shown in the 8th image. It's fragile, so I will pack it very carefully.
