I'm selling this bow out of necessity, as I'm still using it. Returns are welcome. This is a wonderful bow that I recommend to many people looking for their ideal bow. It has excellent responsiveness, is not too soft, has strength, and possesses an exquisite balance, producing a thick, core sound. The curve is reminiscent of the peak of the Peccatte era, with the curve more centered on the bow. (Based on my personal experience, when I first got an instrument, the non-Pernambuco bow that came with the set performed better than Pernambuco bows I later upgraded to, costing 100,000, 150,000, and 400,000 yen.) I've tried to choose good bows regardless of the material. Regarding this bow, while many people seek Pernambuco, and I hear that it's becoming increasingly difficult to obtain, this bow likely uses excellent materials from an era when high-quality materials were still abundant. The bow's body is not too thin, seems to maintain the necessary volume, and has power. The unique head shape and the atmosphere of the stick and parts suggest a famous maker from the late 19th century, and it's not entirely absurd to suggest the possibility of a masterpiece by a master craftsman. Bow preferences and compatibility with instruments vary greatly, but based on my own observations and feedback I've received regarding bows, I genuinely feel that this bow has the potential to become a lifelong companion for those whose needs align with it. There are no breaks or cracks, and I don't see any repair history, and it's in good condition for its age. (I estimate it's about 100-150 years old.) There are only small dents and some blackening in places. The hair was replaced about a year ago, and I've only played it for about 20-30 hours in total, so it still has good grip. The chipped area of the tip has been repaired.
