This is a set of a genuine silk (shibori) baby kimono (uchiki) and a long undergarment (nagajuban). I received this previously, which was used for a baby's first shrine visit (omiya-mairi) and the 3-year-old Shichi-Go-San celebration. I prepared something else, so I only took this out of the box. It's very light, colorful, and beautiful, and I was thinking of using it for Shichi-Go-San, but my daughter said, "I want pink!" so I sadly put the lid back on... The nagajuban was only used once. The thread used to alter it so it could be used as a baby kimono has been removed, and it seems the previous owner easily sewed it back together for Shichi-Go-San. According to the previous description, the previous seller's grandmother had this baby kimono made for her, and it's genuine silk, ordered from a kimono shop. I was told it was a kimono shop in Kyoto. The total shibori is very beautiful, and unlike the modern polyester ones, it's of a higher grade, and the appearance and texture are honestly quite different and elegant. Please check the nagajuban, as there is a black line on the lower part of the back. I did a quick inspection, but I apologize if I missed anything. I will wrap the box in cushioning material and send it.
