This is a rustic soba noodle tokkuri (sake bottle) made by a Karatsu-yaki artist. The beautiful texture of the clay, the natural feel of the haiyu glaze, kiln effects, and the dripping glaze create a wonderful wabi-sabi aesthetic. It would also be a lovely piece for serving Japanese sake.
