I found it while cleaning out my parents' house. It's over 30 years old, but it's unused and in good condition, with the gold leaf still intact, making it a beautiful item. Hiraizumi-nuri is characterized by its thickness and imposing appearance, yet it feels light when held. This deep dish can be used for a variety of dishes and would also beautifully present Japanese sweets. It features the traditional Hiraizumi patterns of "Genji Cloud" and "Yusoku Hishimon." My parents often purchased from Marusan Shikki, but judging by the inner pattern, this might be from Bunshudo.
