Beautiful "Pique de Marseille" bedspread. This is a thick cotton bedspread woven using traditional techniques from the south of France. The patterns are raised and elegant, making it a beautiful and refined item. It's quite large, so it's recommended for king-size beds, sofa covers, or floor mats. Fringes on two short sides. There are some small, raised imperfections like neps (image 8), and some light brown stains (images 9-11), as well as some thin lines. They are not very noticeable at first glance, but there is some slight soiling. It may be possible to clean them with dry cleaning. The fringes show some fraying due to age. Large sizes like this are rare. The fringe shows some wear, but it is still usable.
