This kokeshi doll has an elegant smile. Judging from the writing on the bottom, it appears to be a work by Matsuko Takahashi, a Naruko artist, when she was 58 years old. The gentle expression, characteristic of a female artist, is very soothing. When you turn the head, it makes a very pleasant squeaking sound.
