It can be attached to the belt (eyelets) with the hook fittings at the tips of the front and rear straps. The length can be adjusted with the slide buckles (one side fixed) on the front and rear straps. This item was one of over 3,000 items that my military-loving uncle collected and kept in his overflowing warehouse. It is being sold to organize his collection. Although it is an old item, my uncle is meticulous and stored each item in a bag. While there is some aging, it is in beautiful condition considering it is about 50 years old.
