This is a namasu dish I purchased at an antique market. It features a very finely detailed "Mijin Karusa" (minutely detailed arabesque) design. You don't often see pieces this meticulously crafted. The round window in the center features pine, bamboo, and plum (Shochiku-bai). The balance of negative space with the window frame is excellent. The window frame has a "Shihou Tasuki" (four-sided sash) pattern. The body of the dish appears to be arabesque, but there are also small flowers. They are drawn in a size that is substantial and pleasing to the eye. The foot rim is a "hebi-no-me" (snake's eye) style, and the inscription reads "Fuki Choshun" (wealth, honor, and longevity). Overall, there is "kannyu" (crackling) throughout. It's an "amate" (amateur) piece, but a fine one. Otherwise, there appear to be no major noticeable flaws. Please examine the images carefully. Size: Width: Approximately 14 cm Height: Approximately 3.2 cm
