♦Chaos Bazaar♦
A set of fabric scraps from Japanese kimono fabrics with various colors and textures.
Sizes and weights are in the photos.
*Indigo blue fabric with a fine kikko (tortoise shell) pattern, glossy tsumugi... Photos 3-5
Material unknown, possibly a silk and wool blend.
Unused, stored item.
*Two pieces of pale salmon-colored crepe... Photos 6-11
Antique, but the texture is very pronounced (Photo 9). There appears to be a family crest, possibly of plum or bellflower (Photo 10). There is a woven pattern, but it was too delicate to capture well in the photos (Photo 11). The salmon color appears washed out and white when the phone is close, but Photo 8 is the closest to the actual color.

*Tobi-iro (brownish-grey) hakake (lining) scraps... Photos 12-14
It seems the good parts of the hakake fabric were removed. They are still connected at the seams (back side photo 13). The lighting in Photo 1 makes it appear white, but Photo 14 is the closest to the actual color.

*Two very small scraps of Oshima Tsumugi... Photos 15-19
Leftover fabric from my mother's Oshima Tsumugi. I loved this kimono and nicknamed it "ladybug." Later, I learned that ladybugs are cherished as lucky insects in Germany and Italy, and I grew to love this kimono pattern even more.
The pattern is interesting whether used vertically or horizontally.
