Item from my parents' home. Purchased from a local pet shop about 2-3 years ago. The pet was startled by the lid that opens with a "pop" sound and wouldn't go near it at all. I tried it twice, but it didn't work, so I'm putting it up for sale. I only put pet food in it twice, and no animals have touched it. I think it's an item that's almost unused, but it was stored on a shelf near the window, so there is some fading and deterioration of the outer box. Please refrain from purchasing if you are at all concerned. The batteries were sold separately, but I will include the alkaline batteries that I used for testing (they will be removed from the main unit during packaging). I checked the operation before listing it. It worked without any problems, but this is just a basic check by an amateur. Please understand. I lost the instruction manual, but I will include a copy that a friend who has a similar item made for me. Please use it as a reference. Packaging will be a simple wrapping using recycled materials from my home. Please purchase if you understand that this is a home-stored item from an amateur.
