Personal Impression: It feels slightly larger than the Tilz Schmid model 8, but I felt that this original Schmid model was easier to blow into. The shank is a Schmid shank, which is between American and European. I was using it on an American shank instrument, but there were no particular issues. It will be shipped in the original box from when I purchased it.
