This is a beautiful hairpin with a translucent pattern and mother-of-pearl inlay with maki-e. It is from a very old era, likely before the Meiji period. It doesn't appear to be completely closed in the photo, but it closes properly. #Crafts #Antiques #MotherOfPearlInlay #Maki-e
