The screws on the base are a little loose, so it rattles, but it might be designed to have some play. It shouldn't be a problem when it's sitting in place. Made of plastic, so it's easy to clean. Upon close inspection, there are some fine scratches, but they are not very noticeable overall. How about using it for hors d'oeuvres during the New Year's holiday?
