Regarding four-conductor cables, the cold wire is connected to the ground, and the tap wires are connected to each other, with the single wire being the hot wire. Sometimes they are connected in parallel, so we check the phase and match it, but if it's different or if you're combining it with other pickups, please adjust the phase accordingly.
