I attempted to check the operation by connecting a power cord I had on hand, but the HDD lamp on the front of the unit only blinked, and there was no other operational response. This is why it is being sold as junk. Pressing the reset button on the main unit did not result in any change in the condition. I received this item from someone else, and I have not been able to identify the cause or the location of the malfunction.
