This is a very rare 1981 M-65 field jacket, identifiable by the DBA lot contract number as having been supplied to the US military's allies, etc. The color is a rare black, not found in US military-issued items. This is not a commercial item, but the only black M65 with a contract. There is no "made in .USA" marking like those found on ALPHA commercial products. The fabric is usually 50% Nylon 50% Cotton, but this black one is 65% polyester 35% cotton twill, which feels a little softer and lighter. The lining is also a light, crisp fabric.
