This is an antique kimono made of silk. It has a purple base with ivory gradient square patterns. The fabric is soft and has a fine textured pattern. The lining (hakkake) is a muted pink color. There is a very slight stain on the collar and a very faint yellow stain on the right cuff, but they are barely noticeable. There is some soiling on the hem of the lining.
