This is a Kutani plate purchased at an antique market. The plate features a pair of cheerful deer in the center, and has a ring-shaped floral design. The center is bordered with a series of petal-like shapes. The rim is rust-glazed. The mark is "Kaku-fuku" (角福). The body is decorated with Takara-zukushi (Treasures). According to the shop owner, it dates from the late Edo period. The thin construction suggests that it was a high-quality item even then. There are cracks and hairlines. Currently, there is no leakage. However, the condition may change due to vibrations or impacts during shipping, so we cannot guarantee against water leakage.
