It's not as intensely colored as pure red. The material has a slightly fuzzy texture from the time of purchase. I believe the material is probably cotton. In photos 13, 14, and 15, the tips of the collar, the edges of the sleeves and hem, and the edges of the pocket flaps appear slightly faded and whitish. The tag markings have all disappeared, but I believe it's a men's item made in the USA.
