This item was purchased about 20 years ago and shows its age. The photos make it look better than it actually is, so it's more worn and dirty than the pictures suggest. I've dropped the shade several times, so there are distortions and dents. The original light bulb burned out, so I replaced it with a compact fluorescent lamp. I think it could still be used for a long time if the dents and distortions were repaired.
