The hair is also intricately made, with braided string painted over. It's colorful, and those who like the traditional designs of Tonala pottery might appreciate it (as the regions are relatively close). Lately, there are only Calavera (skull) papier-mâché dolls, and you rarely see dolls modeled after living people. It has a beautiful Mexican feel with its colors, but it's not the flashy, primary color type, so it has a calm atmosphere.
