I think the features are a hip belt that allows for weight to be distributed on the hips while still being UL-oriented, and shoulder straps with convenient pockets that come standard. The enveloping fit feels great, and the design is also cool. Since it's not new, please refrain from purchasing if you are overly concerned about its condition.
