This is likely an old item. It has an auspicious design perfect for the New Year. It was probably purchased as an antique 20-30 years ago, but the details are unknown. The outside is a subdued vermillion, and the inside from the mouth is black. There are three different designs of maki-e (sprinkled picture) on the lids. There is no fading of the gold color. There are almost no signs of paint peeling or scratches. Only one bowl has a white spot and a faint stain on the inside of the mouth. See photo ⑩.
