Around 1880-1900. This item is a top-of-the-line Baccarat piece, using the acid etching technique, a corrosion technique that could only be done around 1900. The etching is an arrangement of the Japanese traditional pattern, Seigaiha, which is famous for being custom-made by Harumi Shoten, and it is decorated with pink overlay and gold gilding. A floral pattern symbolizing the naturalistic design of the Art Nouveau period is drawn in the center, and the decorative bands that run above and below evoke the arabesque and architectural decorations that were popular in the West at the time, creating a composition that maintains a balance of beauty while being gorgeous. It shimmers delicately in the light, creating a fantastic atmosphere. It is the perfect size for drinking water, beer, or iced coffee.
