Shishida-ryu Chikusui Shinobue This is a Shishida-ryu Chikusui shinobue, crafted by the second-generation flute maker, Chuichi Ito of Ito Takekanki Seisakusho, who inherited the Shishida-ryu tradition from the late Edo period! Produced in the late Showa era, this flute is approximately fifty years old. The shinobue's bamboo is well-dried and has taken on a natural color, resulting in excellent sound quality and tone.
